The ST-95 is designed to receive wireless broadcasts from a network of up to sixteen ST-48 wireless sensor transmitters. ST-48 monitored values and alarm status are indicated on the ST-95's front panel display. Four integral SPDT 5 amp alarm relays are available for driving strobes, horns and other alarm events. ST-95's are configured via the magnetic keypad so operator interface never requires opening the enclosure. Since ST-95's may be set as the wireless network's "server", no other controller is required by the network and a complete wireless network might be as simple as a single ST-48 and ST-95.
A "repeater" function allows a mode where all ST-48 broadcasts are retransmitted by the ST-95. This repeater mode allows transmission distances be extended by locating an ST-95 between the ST-48's and the receiving ST-71 or ST-90 controller. ST-95's used as repeaters should also bet set as the wireless network's server since it will be physically closer to the ST-48's than the controllers.
